Wednesday the 4th Of April is International Carrot Day. We love carrots as they are so versatile. We have been racking our brains and we have come up with many ways that you can use carrots to celebrate their special day.
Make A Cake
Carrots are great for adding to cakes and muffins. We are also convinced that adding them counts as one of your five a day!
Pens are like odd socks. They are forever going missing. Never fear! If you have carrots in your fridge there is a solution. Dip the end in paint and write away. They make the perfect quill.
Carrots can be blended into a delicious juice. If you would rather not make it yourself, you can pick up a bottle of our new Carrot & Orange Juice. It’s Peter Rabbit’s favourite!
You will never be bored if you have carrots in your cupboard. They are perfect for building towers and playing Jenga.
We have a great recipe for Carrot & Coriander Soup In the Recipe section of our website.
Dangle a carrot in front of a donkey. It’s guaranteed to get you to your destination quicker.
Spiralized veg is so versatile. You can use them as spaghetti or noodles, make a delicious side dish or bake into fries.
As children it was so much fun to take the top of a carrot, place it on a saucer of water and watch it grow. We have no idea what the point of this was but we’re sure we’ve all done it.
Peel them into thin strips, drizzle them with oil, sprinkle them with salt and roast them in the oven (180°C) for 5 minutes, or until they are crispy.
The Perfect Finish To A Snowman
Give a snowman the perfect nose. A snowman wouldn’t be complete without a carrot nose. Hopefully we won’t be able to do this until next winter!
